On Monday, 11/05/2026, His Excellency Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received His Excellency Colonel Chris Heller, British Military Adviser to the Global Coalition against Daesh.
The meeting discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region، the UK's relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region، as well as the threat posed by Daesh and threats to the security and stability of the region.
The Vice President reiterated the Kurdistan Region's gratitude for the continued support of the United Kingdom in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region، and appreciated the role of the British forces in the framework of the international coalition against Daesh in the region.
In response، Colonel Chris Heller reiterated his country's continued support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region for the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
