The Vice President of the Kurdistan Region Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa received Mr. Colonel Thorsten Picha، the German military adviser to the international coalition against Daesh and an accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed Germany's relations with the Kurdistan Region، the latest political and security developments in Iraq، the threats and dangers posed by ISIS to the region and the coalition's military assistance to the Peshmerga.
The two sides stressed the importance and continuity of assistance and joint cooperation with the Peshmerga to combat terrorism and its threats for the sake of stability and security in the region.
Finding a peaceful solution to the current conflicts and complexities in the region along with the process of reform and reunification of the Peshmerga was another topic of discussion at the meeting.
