On the evening of Monday, October 5, 2026 in Erbil, the Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, Mr. Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, participated in the celebration of the German National Day, organized by the German Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region.
At the ceremony، which was attended by a number of political leaders، administrative officials، diplomats and representatives of countries in the Kurdistan Region، Mr. Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa congratulated Mr. Daniel Kreiber، German Ambassador to Iraq and Christian Olfke، German Consul General in the Kurdistan Region، as well as the German people and government، and expressed the Kurdistan Region's desire to continue and develop relations with Germany.
For their part، the German Ambassador and Consul General thanked everyone for their participation in the commemoration and appreciated the role and position of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq and the region.
